Bob was Bob. He doesn't like to fit molds, do the expected, so he didn't. He came on a bit earlier than scheduled (but the natives were restless so that was good) and said not a word to the audience except to introduce the band towards the end. However, he dressed up, performed brilliantly, and even smiled a couple of times (!). Not a single melody could be recognized without hearing the lyrics (see opening sentence). Listening to how others interpret Bob Dylan, I have come to realize that Bob is one of those songwriters who shouldn't sing his own stuff. But I had fun, and so did Bob and I'm very glad I went! Bob has a new fan. :-)PS: Opening act Suzanne Vega was more charismatic than I expected. I wanted to hear more from her.

I live near where Bob grew up and I never get a chance to see him. Let us know how it was!

Oh, I beg to differ. I love listen to Bob do Bob. Not many covers are up to his own interpretation, imho. And I agree that Suzanne Vega is engaging!
