My dad loved dates and every so often he brought some back on his way back from work. I never got a taste for them, my main complaint was \”why are those things wrapped in clingfilm?\”Don\’t think they\’re sold here, but I\’ll have to look again after your photo!
Sravana, I never thought I\’d run into somebody more sensitive to sweet than me. :-)Gal Friday, if you get the chance, do try fresh. They are moister, softer and milder in taste than dried.Anon, those cookies sound tasty!Tom, one of the pleasures of the fresh dates is that they are sold loose weight: I get to pick each one myself with a plastic tong. :-)Protege, thank you so much for the \”Premios Dardo Award\”! I\’m touched!

had the best christmas cookies, I think they were just ground dates and rice crispies, rolled into balls.
